Last weekend we went on a short day trip and visited the Beverly/Chapman Mill. This has been on our 'to go to' list for a couple years now and we finally got around to it. The actual mill ruins are pretty small, but still fascinating.
I loved all the different textures from stone, metal, vines and other plants.
You can go inside and there are still a few machinery items left. What a wonderful play of light and shadows!
Looking up.
Crossing those train tracks bring you to a set of trails with a wonderful overview site. Definitely worth a visit.

What a wonderful step back in history. I see that it's in Virginia. The pictures are lovely, especially the last one.
This is a fabulous place for exploring and taking photos. Yep, I'm jealous. I love the texture.
